7 Things to do before November is out.

I’ve somehow have been in a daze and November is hurtling to its completion and I really haven’t done much, I was feeling guilty but I will let that go. 2020 is fast approaching and I’m no longer attaching guilt to things that don’t require it, it is a waste of time. This is me practicing a new habit. Habits become your lifestyle. So here are a few ideas of places to visit and things to do this November.

The Winter Village at Bryant Park.

There in a skating rink that is free if you have skates, if don’t have skates like me, you can rent them.  The rink ins open daily 8am-10pm and it is open all holidays. If you are into to shopping there are 125 holiday kiosks to visit. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 11am-8pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am-8pm. It is open now until March 2020, well the rink.

The Holiday Train Show at New York Botanical Gardens

This is a family tradition for us because Zach was heavily into trains we he was younger. The Train show starts this Saturday, November 23 and ends Sunday, January 26, 2020. You can see famous New York landmarks recreated from natural materials, it is very cool to see the model trains passing by, you feel like Gulliver.

Radio City Christmas Spectacular

If you want to stay warm and be indoors, the how to see is the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Just a bunch of fun and it would put you in the Holiday Season mood. The shows start November 25, 2019 to Jan. 5, 2020.

Holiday Lantern Festivals — Staten Island, Randall's Island, the Bronx

There are four holiday light festivals this year, and three opened this month. NYC Winter Lantern Festival returns to Snug Harbor on Staten Island and it opened November 20 with there was a preview at Liberty Park by the World Trade Center from October 28 through November 16 which has passed. Luminocity Festival opened on Randall's Island on November 20, and on the 21st the Bronx Zoo's Holiday Lights display returned. They will be open until January.

Dyker Lights

Thanksgiving starts the season in the neighborhood where they go all out with the Christmas lights. It will require a lot of walking, but if you love Christmas lights then it’s the thing to do. It is free, but you could pay to go on a guided bus tour.

Macys Thanksgiving Parade Balloon inflation

I’m thinking about doing this because I have cooking to do for Thanksgiving and to make the parade in the morning I’m not so certain I can attain both. It starts at 1 pm on November 27th and ends at 8 pm. You will have to go to Columbus Ave and West 73rd St outside of the Museum of Natural History.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade starts at 9 am and goes down Central Park West and 6th Avenue you can watch giant balloons, floats, marching bands, clowns, and many cool performers don’t forget Santa always makes an appearance at the end. You will have to get there early if you want to get a good spot. It is always cold so bundle up.

Have a fun.
