The one Happy Island, Aruba

My trips to Aruba, and some of the places I think you need to visit.

I haven’t been on an away vacation in sometime and well Covid sure did put a hamper on that, so when the Mister said it was time to go on vacation I couldn’t pinpoint where I wanted to go. Aruba, Barbados, St Lucia and Paris were on my list. It took him having to decide because I was taking too long and I’m beyond happy that he did. From the moment he decided I was happy and started doing my research about Aruba. I read just about every article that I could find, headed over to Google travel to pinpoint on a map places to visit and try to get an idea for what my vacation would be like. I was beyond blown away with my experience.

My Mister likes the Ritz-Carlton and likes to stay at their hotels whenever we travel, but he had us staying on vacation for only 4 nights, that’s not a vacation, so I said I think I could do better with the price and length of stay. So after much deliberation and research on my part, we opted to stay a the Hilton Aruba. I took a garden view room, because I didn’t need to view the ocean, if I was going to be on the beach or sight seeing, the ocean view would be a waste. I loved the hotel, the staff was friendly and the décor was perfect. I’m not a huge fan of lizards or iguanas or anything small, moving fast and has the ability to climb walls. They are around the property, but I think they stayed clear more of me than I did them. The hotel also has beautiful parrots or like tiktok said “fruit loop birds”. Now that I’m home I realized the Hilton has the best spot on the island, I only say that as I was looking at the video of the sunset and it was straight on. Definitely, I would stay at the Hilton again. I only ate breakfast at the hotel,  and it was good. I never tried the other restaurants on the property. Late night room service was great though. I got some ideas of places to visit also from the looped video they have playing on the television.

Without further ado, here are some of the places I visited and ate at while on my vacation. At the end of this, if you don’t stay at Hilton, I will leave the coordinates to another spot where I witness one of the best sunsets I have ever seen at the end of this post.

While I was in Aruba I won a trip, I did have to watch a presentation, it was not a time share, but a travel club. It would have been great to join the life time membership, if I had $10,000 laying around. The sales person said after 5 times of visiting Aruba he decided to make it home, I didn’t need 5 visits to decide that this could be my forever home, it only took me one time to know I want to live on the happiest island in the world.
